Question by Cameron Hite: Can Playstation 2 games play on a Playstation 3 gaming system?
I want a Playstation 3 for Christmas but my mom says the only reason why not is because Playstation 2 games do not play on Playstation 3 and if they do I can get one. Im really counting on you guys!

I don’t believe PS2 games work on PS3. But PS1 games work on PS3. Sorry for the bad news….but I’m crossing my fingers for you, PS3 is awesome.

I’m thinking of buying Frogger for playstation for my kids. But my kids don’t have a playstation, they have a playstation 2. will the playstation games work on the playstation 2?

yes that will work; the only place PS and PS2 games wont work is in the “cheap” version of PS3.
